Warfarin Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Mangosteen interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of mangosteen with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs may increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro and animal research shows that gamma-mangostin, a constituent of mangosteen, is a potent and competitive antagonist of the serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor. Antagonism of the 5-HT2A receptor is believed to reduce platelet aggregation.

Here's the gist: warfarin already lowers your blood's ability to clot, and mangosteen might nudge things a little further in that same direction. The thinking is that a compound in mangosteen called gamma-mangostin can make platelets a bit less sticky, so pairing it with warfarin could, in theory, raise your chance of bleeding. That might look like easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or blood in your urine or stool.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This concern comes only from lab and animal studies, not from people, so it's theoretical. Eating the fruit now and then is unlikely to be a problem, but concentrated juices or supplements are a different story. Since warfarin needs careful, steady dosing, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding mangosteen.

What Is Warfarin Used For?

Brand names: Coumadin, Panwarfin, Sofarin

Warfarin sodium tablets and Jantoven tablets are both used to prevent and treat venous thrombosis (blood clots in the veins) and pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs). They are also used to prevent clot-related complications in people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm) or who have had a heart valve replaced.

In people who have had a heart attack, warfarin is used to reduce the risk of death, another heart attack, stroke, or other clotting events. It does not dissolve an existing clot, but it helps prevent the clot from growing and stops new dangerous clots from forming.
