Bromfenac Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Mangosteen interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of mangosteen with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs may increase the risk of bleeding.
In vitro and animal research shows that gamma-mangostin, a constituent of mangosteen, is a potent and competitive antagonist of the serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor. Antagonism of the 5-HT2A receptor is believed to reduce platelet aggregation.

Here's the thing about bromfenac eye drops (Prolensa, BromSite): even though they belong to the NSAID family, you're putting them right in your eye, not swallowing them. So the amount that reaches your bloodstream is tiny. Mangosteen, on its own, may very slightly nudge your platelets toward not clumping as well, based only on lab and animal studies (not people). That's why this is flagged as theoretical.

Realistically, the bigger concern would be local: after cataract surgery, anything that thins blood a touch could in theory mean a little more redness or slow eye healing. But with eye drops the risk is low. If you take concentrated mangosteen supplements or other blood thinners, just give your eye surgeon or pharmacist a heads-up before surgery.
