Here's the simple version: Noni juice may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own. Phenoxybenzamine already relaxes your blood vessels to control the blood pressure spikes and sweating from a pheochromocytoma. Stack a second thing that nudges pressure down, and the two can add up.

If your pressure drops too far, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially standing up quickly, or notice a fast heartbeat or stuffy nose, which are common with this medicine. I'll be honest, this is based on weak, mostly anecdotal evidence, and everyday food amounts are unlikely to be a problem. Still, with a drug this carefully dosed, don't add concentrated noni supplements without checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

Phenoxybenzamine hydrochloride capsules are used to treat pheochromocytoma — a rare tumor of the adrenal gland that releases large bursts of stress hormones, causing dangerous spikes in blood pressure and heavy sweating. The capsules help keep those episodes under control.

If the heart rate becomes too fast during treatment, a doctor may also prescribe a beta-blocker alongside phenoxybenzamine.
