Aspirin, Caffeine, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Panax Notoginseng interacts with.
Animal research shows that administering Panax notoginseng intravenously for 7 days before intraperitoneal injection of caffeine can decrease maximal blood levels of caffeine by 37%. This interaction was attributed to the ability of Panax notoginseng to increase the activity of CYP1A2.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combination pill has three parts, and the caffeine is the one to focus on here. Panax notoginseng may speed up an enzyme called CYP1A2, which is one of the main ways your body clears caffeine. If that happens, the caffeine in your tablet could be broken down faster, so you might notice less of its usual lift (a bit more drowsiness or a duller alertness boost). The aspirin and hydrocodone aren't really affected by this pathway.
Honestly, this is based only on animal lab work, not people, so I'd put it in the 'worth knowing, not worth panicking' bucket. There's a separate point too: notoginseng is traditionally used to affect bleeding, and aspirin already thins the blood, so easy bruising is something to keep an eye on. Run it by your pharmacist before combining them.

ASPIRIN
2 of 3Animal research shows that taking Panax notoginseng extract with aspirin increases blood levels of salicylic acid by approximately 50% and blood levels of Panax notoginseng by 75% to 196%. This effect may be due to increased absorption of both products.

Your Damason-P combo includes aspirin, and that's the piece that interacts here with Panax notoginseng. This is mostly a theory based on how these two behave together, with the supporting data coming from animal studies, not large human trials. In those studies, the herb appeared to boost absorption, raising aspirin levels by about half and the herb's own levels even more.
Why it matters: both aspirin and this ginseng can thin the blood a bit. Stacking them could nudge up the risk of bruising, nosebleeds, stomach upset, or harder-to-stop bleeding. The hydrocodone and caffeine parts aren't really the concern here. Please don't change anything on your own. Just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, especially if you bleed or bruise easily.
