Buproprion, Dextromethorphan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Passion Flower interacts with.

Theoretically, passion flower might decrease the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that passion flower can induce CYP3A4 enzymes, albeit to a much lower degree than rifampin, a known CYP3A4 inducer.

Auvelity combines dextromethorphan and bupropion, and it's used to treat depression. Here's the gist of this one: lab studies hint that passion flower may slightly speed up CYP3A4, one of the liver enzymes that helps process dextromethorphan. If that happened in real life, your body might clear the drug a little faster, which could in theory make Auvelity work a bit less well, so you might notice your mood symptoms creeping back.

Honestly though, this is a very weak signal. It comes only from test-tube research, not from people, and the effect was far smaller than known strong inducers. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since this combo treats something as important as depression, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding passion flower.
