Here's the gist: oxycodone is a strong opioid pain reliever, and one of its main effects is calming down your central nervous system. Passion flower works in a similar calming direction by gently boosting GABA activity in the brain. When you take both, those sedating effects can stack on top of each other.

In practice, that means you might feel more drowsy, dizzy, or foggy than you'd expect, and in theory it could add to oxycodone's tendency to slow your breathing. I'll be honest with you though: this concern is based on how these two work in the body, not on strong human studies pairing them. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you take other sedatives or feel unusually sleepy.
