In animal research, intraperitoneal rauwolscine lowered the seizure threshold level of the drug metrazol.

Here's the thing to know about this combo. Phenobarbital and phenytoin are taken to prevent seizures by calming overexcited nerve signals. Rauwolscine, the stimulant in many fat-burner and pre-workout products, may push in the opposite direction. By ramping up norepinephrine, it could nudge the brain toward being more excitable and slightly lower the seizure threshold, which could work against what your medicine is trying to do.

I want to be honest about the evidence: this is theoretical and comes only from animal lab work, not human studies, so the real-world risk is uncertain. Still, with a seizure disorder it's not worth gambling. Please run any rauwolscine product past your pharmacist or neurologist before trying it.

Rauwolscine (alpha-yohimbine) is a stimulant alkaloid closely related to yohimbine that is marketed mainly in fat-burning and pre-workout supplements. Human evidence for its benefits is very limited, and it can raise heart rate and blood pressure and cause anxiety, so it should be used with caution and is not recommended for people with heart conditions, anxiety, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
