Hydrochlorothiazide, Metoprolol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Rhodiola interacts with.

Theoretically, taking rhodiola with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
In vitro and animal research shows that rhodiola extract inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and might lower blood pressure.

Your medicine here is a combo pill: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) plus metoprolol (a beta-blocker). Both work to bring your blood pressure down. The concern with Rhodiola is simple addition. Some lab and animal studies hint that Rhodiola may gently lower blood pressure on its own, possibly by blocking ACE. Stack that on top of two blood pressure medicines and, in theory, your numbers could dip a little too low.

If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, unusually tired, or faint when standing up quickly. Keep in mind this is theoretical and based only on early lab work, so for most people it is a mild, possible concern rather than a clear danger. Still, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding Rhodiola, and check your blood pressure if you do.
