Rhodiola + Bendroflumethiazide
Bendroflumethiazide brand names: Naturetin, Aprinox, Neo-NaClex.
Rhodiola has a moderate interaction with Bendroflumethiazide. Theoretically, taking rhodiola with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Bendroflumethiazide
Bendroflumethiazide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Rhodiola interacts with.
In vitro and animal research shows that rhodiola extract inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and might lower blood pressure.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Bendroflumethiazide is a thiazide water pill that lowers blood pressure by helping your body get rid of extra salt and fluid. The concern here is simple: Rhodiola may have its own mild blood-pressure-lowering effect, so pairing the two could, in theory, push your blood pressure a little lower than expected.
If that happened, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or a bit wobbly when standing up quickly. I want to be honest, though, that this is a theoretical concern based only on lab and animal studies, not real patient cases. For most people it's unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you take Rhodiola while on bendroflumethiazide, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on how you feel.

“Bendroflumethiazide, a thiazide water pill prescribed for high blood pressure, sits at the serious end of the interaction spectrum, and the ten major-rated entries deserve attention first. About Rhodiola
What is Rhodiola?
- Fatigue and low energy
- Stress and coping (adaptogen)
- Mental performance and focus
- Mild depression
- Physical and exercise performance
Rhodiola is an herb traditionally used to fight fatigue and help the body cope with stress. Some small studies suggest it may modestly reduce fatigue and improve mood, but the evidence is limited and not strong. It is generally well tolerated for short-term use, but talk to your pharmacist or doctor before trying it, and avoid it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
