Here's the gist of it: Flibanserin (Addyi) can already make you feel drowsy, lightheaded, or even dizzy enough to faint, especially when your blood pressure dips. The concern with shepherd's purse is that it may add to those calming, sedating-type effects, so layering the two together could leave you feeling sleepier or more woozy than usual.

I want to be straight with you though: this is a theoretical caution drawn from how these things work, not from solid studies in people. The shepherd's purse signal here is fairly weak. Still, since Addyi already carries real warnings about drowsiness and low blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, rather than guessing on your own.

What Is Flibanserin Used For?

Brand name: Addyi

Addyi is approved to treat acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) — a condition where low sexual desire causes significant distress or relationship difficulty — in women under 65. "Acquired" means the low desire developed after a period of normal desire; "generalized" means it happens regardless of the situation or partner.

Addyi is not intended for use in men, and it is not a sexual performance enhancer. It is also not meant for HSDD that is caused by a medical condition, a psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or another medication.
