Mephobarbital (Mebaral) is a barbiturate, a strong sedative that calms the brain and was used for seizures and anxiety. On its own it can make you drowsy, foggy, slow to react, and in higher doses it slows breathing. The concern here is simple addition: shepherd's purse has been reported to have its own mild calming or sedative-like activity, so pairing the two could leave you more sleepy or sluggish than you'd expect.

Honestly, this is a theoretical worry based on how the herb behaves, not on solid human studies, so I wouldn't panic. Still, since mephobarbital is already powerful, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't start or stop anything on your own.
