Renese R combines polythiazide, a water pill, with reserpine. The piece that matters here is polythiazide, because it can lower your body's potassium over time. Swamp Milkweed naturally contains heart-acting compounds (cardenolides) that work a bit like digitalis. When potassium runs low, your heart becomes more sensitive to these compounds, so the same dose can hit harder.

In plain terms, mixing the two could raise the chance of heart rhythm problems, along with nausea, dizziness, or a slow or irregular pulse. I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical and based on how these substances behave, not on solid human studies. Still, Swamp Milkweed is genuinely toxic and isn't a safe supplement. Please don't take it, and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
