Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Aspirin, Pentazocine
Aspirin, Pentazocine falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Sweet Clover interacts with.
Fresh sweet clover contains coumarinic acids, which are converted to free coumarins during drying. Dicoumarol, which has anticoagulant activity, also has been found in some sweet clover preparations and can be formed if fresh sweet clover is allowed to spoil.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The combo you're asking about (Talwin Compound) contains aspirin, which thins the blood by blocking platelets from sticking together. Sweet clover naturally carries coumarin, and if the plant spoils or ferments it can form dicoumarol, a compound with blood-thinning activity much like warfarin. Stack that on top of aspirin's effect and you could, in theory, bruise more easily, bleed longer from small cuts, or notice things like nosebleeds or stomach upset.
I'll be honest with you: this warning is theoretical, based on how these chemicals behave rather than solid human studies, so don't panic. Still, since aspirin already nudges bleeding risk, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding sweet clover.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Aspirin, Pentazocine page
“Talwin Compound pairs pentazocine, an opioid painkiller, with aspirin, and I read its supplement list with more concern than most. The great majority of entries do one of two things: raise the bleeding risk that aspirin already carries, or deepen the sedation pentazocine causes.”

About Sweet Clover
What is Sweet Clover?
- Varicose veins and poor circulation
- Leg swelling (edema)
- Hemorrhoids
- Bruising and minor inflammation
- Respiratory complaints
Sweet clover is a traditional European herb most often promoted for vein problems and leg swelling, but high-quality human evidence is limited. It contains coumarin, which can become dangerous if the plant spoils, so quality matters and you should talk to a pharmacist before using it.
