Here's the simple version. Brexanolone (Zulresso) is a continuous IV medicine given in a hospital for postpartum depression, and one of its biggest known effects is making you very drowsy or even causing you to suddenly fall asleep. Tree turmeric, through its main compound berberine, has shown sedative-like effects in animal studies, so the concern is that the two together could add up and leave you more sleepy or sluggish than expected.

I want to be honest with you: this is a theoretical worry based on lab and animal research, not solid human data. Still, since brexanolone is given under close monitoring already, let your care team know about any supplement you take, including tree turmeric, so they can watch you safely. Please don't start or stop anything on your own first.
