Deserpidine, Hydrochlorothiazide falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, taking tree turmeric along with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can have hypotensive effects. Also, a meta-analysis of clinical research suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine (Norvasc) can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with taking amlodipine alone.

Here's the simple version: your Oreticyl combines two blood pressure lowerers, deserpidine and the water pill hydrochlorothiazide. Tree turmeric (really its active piece, berberine) seems to nudge blood pressure down a little on its own. Stack the two together and the effects may add up, so your pressure could drop more than expected.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when standing up quickly, along with tiredness. I want to be honest about the evidence, though: this concern mostly comes from animal and lab studies, so it's more of a theoretical heads-up than a proven problem. Still, before adding a berberine supplement, check with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your blood pressure readings at home.
