Theoretically, taking tree turmeric along with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can have hypotensive effects. Also, a meta-analysis of clinical research suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine (Norvasc) can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with taking amlodipine alone.

Your Inderide combines two blood pressure medicines: hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) and propranolol (a beta blocker that slows the heart and relaxes blood vessels). Tree turmeric, mainly through its berberine content, may gently lower blood pressure on its own. So the worry here is simply additive: two things pushing blood pressure in the same downward direction.

If your pressure dips too low, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. The good news is this is mostly theoretical, based on animal studies and limited human research, so it's rated moderate and only possible. Still, if you'd like to try tree turmeric, please check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and watch your home blood pressure readings rather than changing anything on your own.

In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence suggest that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can inhibit CYP2D6.

This combo pill pairs a water pill (hydrochlorothiazide) with propranolol, a beta-blocker. The piece that matters here is propranolol, which your body partly clears through a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. The berberine in tree turmeric can slow that enzyme down. In plain terms, propranolol may not break down as quickly, so more of it can build up in your system.

If that happens, you might notice a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, dizziness, or feeling unusually tired. To be honest, this is mostly based on lab work and limited human data, so it's a possible concern rather than a sure thing. Still, since blood pressure and heart rate are involved, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
