Insulin Lispro Recombinant falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, tree turmeric, taken alone or in combination with milk thistle, might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in patients taking antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that taking a product containing tree turmeric and milk thistle extracts can lower blood glucose levels, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those on antidiabetic agents. Additionally, clinical research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can lower blood glucose levels.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: Humalog (insulin lispro) is your fast-acting mealtime insulin that already pushes your blood sugar down. Tree turmeric, thanks to its berberine, can lower blood sugar on its own too. Studies in people with type 2 diabetes back this up. So when you stack the two, the lowering effects can add up, and your sugar may drop further than you expect.

In real life that could mean hypoglycemia, with shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded. This isn't a reason to panic, and it doesn't mean you can't use both. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist first so they can watch your numbers and adjust your insulin dose if needed. Check your blood sugar a little more often when starting.
