Levamlodipine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, taking tree turmeric along with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can have hypotensive effects. Also, a meta-analysis of clinical research suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine (Norvasc) can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with taking amlodipine alone.

Levamlodipine (Conjupri) is a calcium channel blocker that lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels. Tree turmeric, through its main active ingredient berberine, may have its own mild blood-pressure-lowering effect. So the concern here is simple addition: put the two together and your blood pressure could drop more than expected.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy or lightheaded, especially when standing up, and you could notice tiredness or even feel faint. I'll be honest with you though, this interaction is mostly theoretical and based on animal research, with some human studies in people taking regular amlodipine. A pinch of turmeric in cooking won't matter, but concentrated berberine supplements are different. Before adding it, check with your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your blood pressure.

In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence suggest that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, moderately inhibits CYP3A4.

Levamlodipine is a blood pressure medicine that your liver clears using an enzyme called CYP3A4. Tree turmeric, through its main compound berberine, can slow that enzyme down. When the enzyme works slower, your body removes levamlodipine less efficiently, so more of it can build up in your system over time.

In practice, that could mean a stronger blood-pressure-lowering effect than expected. Watch for things like dizziness, lightheadedness when standing, flushing, headache, or swelling in your ankles and feet. This is mostly a theoretical concern with modest enzyme blocking, and food amounts of turmeric spice are very different from concentrated berberine supplements. Still, before you combine the two, check in with your pharmacist or doctor so they can watch your blood pressure.
