Here's the honest picture with your Zenhale inhaler (mometasone plus formoterol) and tree turmeric. The concern on file is that berberine, the active compound in tree turmeric, may slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. If that enzyme is blocked, drugs it handles can build up a bit and act more strongly. For formoterol, the long-acting reliever in your inhaler, that could in theory mean more of its side effects, like a fast or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, tremor, or a headache.

That said, this is mostly theoretical and based on weak evidence, and inhaled doses are small to begin with. I wouldn't panic, but do mention the supplement to your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you notice any new heart-racing.

Here's the gist with your Zenhale inhaler (mometasone plus formoterol). Berberine, the active part of tree turmeric, may gently slow down a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. The thinking is that this could let some medicines processed by that enzyme build up a bit higher than usual.

The good news is that most of an inhaled medicine like this acts right in your lungs, so the amount your liver has to handle is small. Even so, if levels did rise, you might notice more of formoterol's known effects, like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, or shakiness. This is a theoretical concern based on limited evidence, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up before mixing them.

Your Zenhale inhaler combines two medicines, and both mometasone (a steroid) and formoterol (a long-acting bronchodilator) are partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The berberine in tree turmeric can slow that enzyme down. In theory, that means a bit more of these drugs could linger in your system than usual.

If levels crept up, you might notice more of the typical side effects, like a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, a slight tremor, or throat irritation. The good news is this is mostly a theoretical concern, and the inhaled doses are small. Still, before adding a concentrated berberine supplement, please check with your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on how you're feeling.
