Pentazocine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, turmeric might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2. However, research is conflicting.
In vitro and animal research show that the turmeric constituent, curcumin, inhibits CYP1A2. However, other in vitro research suggests that curcumin does not significantly affect CYP1A2.

Here's the gist for pentazocine (Talwin) and turmeric. Pentazocine is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In lab and animal studies, the curcumin in turmeric can slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in real life, pentazocine could clear a little more slowly and build up, which in theory might mean stronger effects like more drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, or slowed breathing.

The honest part: this is theoretical, the evidence is weak, and studies even disagree on whether curcumin affects this enzyme at all. The amount you get from cooking with turmeric is very unlikely to matter. If you take concentrated curcumin capsules, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.
