What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Peeled against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Peeled by Alchemy Labs
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Peeled contains 7 active ingredients. Three are androsterone-type compounds—3,5-Diiodo-L-Thyronine (a thyroid-active compound), 3-Alpha-Hydroxy-5-Alpha-Androstan-17-One, and 3beta-Acetoxy-5alpha-Androstan-17-One—designed to influence hormonal and metabolic pathways.
A fourth, 3beta-Hydroxyandrost-5-Ene-7,17-Dione, is another hormone-related compound. The formula also includes ashwagandha extract, ursolic acid, and an ingredient blend called Extreme Cutting Matrix.
The capsules contain inactive ingredients like rice flour, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and a capsule shell.
Does it work?
Insufficient evidence
The evidence supporting Peeled's ingredients is limited. Ashwagandha is possibly effective for insomnia and anxiety, and possibly effective for generalized anxiety disorder and stress.
The other active ingredients—the thyroid-active compound, the androsterone compounds, and ursolic acid—all lack reliable evidence. The product claims aren't clearly supported by the data we hold; effectiveness for any of the conditions these ingredients are marketed for (weight, strength, sexual function, or energy) remains unestablished in our monographs.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Ashwagandha is generally well tolerated short-term in healthy adults, though long-term safety data are limited. The most common side effects are digestive—diarrhea, stomach upset, nausea, and vomiting—but these are uncommon at standard doses.
Rare serious effects include liver damage and, in one case, reversible brain blood vessel problems. The thyroid-active ingredient carries limited human safety data with possible effects on the heart and thyroid.
The two androsterone compounds are controlled anabolic-androgenic steroids that are illegal to sell as dietary supplements in the U.S., and they raise serious concerns about heart disease and liver injury. Pregnancy and breastfeeding: ashwagandha is advised against in pregnancy (traditionally thought to risk miscarriage) and lacks enough safety data for breastfeeding.
The thyroid-active compound and both androsterone compounds are advised against in pregnancy and breastfeeding; safety is unknown or hormone effects may harm the infant. The third androsterone-type compound also carries insufficient safety data for pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Peeled if you're on blood pressure medications, antidiabetes drugs, thyroid hormones, benzodiazepines, anti-anxiety or sleep aids (CNS depressants), immunosuppressants, or any medication that stresses your liver. These all carry Moderate interaction risks with ashwagandha.
If you're using other male hormones like testosterone, note the Minor interaction with the androsterone compounds.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with insufficient evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Peeled is marketed as a performance and body-composition supplement, but the evidence for most of its ingredients is not established. More importantly, it contains controlled anabolic steroids that are illegal to sell as dietary supplements, androsterone compounds with serious cardiac and liver risks, and a thyroid-active ingredient with limited safety data.
If you take any blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, anti-anxiety, sleep, or liver-stress medications, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, discuss this product with your doctor or pharmacist before use.

Peeled by Alchemy Labs Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Peeled by Alchemy Labs contains several ingredients with documented medication interactions.
The most serious concern comes through its ashwagandha extract and two androsterone-type compounds. Ashwagandha poses a Moderate risk with CNS depressants (sedatives, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medications), antihypertensive drugs (blood pressure medications), benzodiazepines (anti-anxiety tranquilizers), antidiabetes drugs, thyroid hormones, immunosuppressants, hepatotoxic drugs (medications hard on the liver), and CYP1A2 substrates (a group of drugs your body breaks down through a specific liver pathway).
The two androsterone ingredients carry a Minor interaction with other androgens like testosterone.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Ashwagandha's effects on CNS depressants and benzodiazepines could increase drowsiness and sedation. With blood pressure medications, it may cause low blood pressure (hypotension).
If you take diabetes drugs, combined use risks low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Ashwagandha may also enhance thyroid hormone effects and increase liver damage risk if you're on medications that stress your liver.
Additionally, ashwagandha might weaken immunosuppressants and reduce levels of certain drugs metabolized by the liver enzyme CYP1A2.
The two androsterone compounds may have additive effects if you're taking other male hormones. We could not check three other ingredients—3-Beta-Hydroxyandrost-5-En-17-One, Ursolic Acid, and the components within Extreme Cutting Matrix—so we hold no data for them.
Altogether, these interactions span 1,374 individual medications. Use the search tool below to check your exact prescriptions before starting this product.

For each ingredient in Peeled with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Ashwagandha extract
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking ashwagandha with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
There is preliminary clinical evidence suggesting that ashwagandha might lower blood glucose levels. Theoretically, ashwagandha might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking ashwagandha with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that ashwagandha might lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Theoretically, ashwagandha might have additive effects when used with antihypertensive drugs and increase the risk of hypotension.
Benzodiazepines
Theoretically, taking ashwagandha might increase the sedative effects of benzodiazepines.
There is preliminary evidence that ashwagandha might have an additive effect with diazepam (Valium) and clonazepam (Klonopin). This may also occur with other benzodiazepines.
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, taking ashwagandha might increase the sedative effects of CNS depressants.
Ashwagandha seems to have sedative effects. Theoretically, this may potentiate the effects of barbiturates, other sedatives, and anxiolytics.
Hepatotoxic Drugs
Theoretically, taking ashwagandha with hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver damage.
Ashwagandha has been linked to cases of acute hepatitis, liver failure, hepatic encephalopathy, autoimmune hepatitis, the need for liver transplantation, and death due to liver failure.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, taking ashwagandha might decrease the effects of immunosuppressants.
Ashwagandha has demonstrated immunostimulant effects in humans. Animal research has shown that ashwagandha can attenuate the immunosuppression caused by cyclophosphamide.
Thyroid Hormone
Ashwagandha might increase the effects and adverse effects of thyroid hormone.
Concomitant use of ashwagandha with thyroid hormones may cause additive therapeutic and adverse effects. Preliminary clinical research and animal studies suggest that ashwagandha boosts thyroid hormone synthesis and secretion. In one clinical study, ashwagandha increased triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) levels by 41.5% and 19.6%, respectively, and reduced serum TSH levels by 17.4% from baseline in adults with subclinical hypothyroidism.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, ashwagandha might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that ashwagandha extract induces CYP1A2 enzymes.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, ashwagandha might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that ashwagandha extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes.
Serotonergic Drugs
Some animal studies have reported that ashwagandha can enhance serotonergic transmission by altering certain serotonin (5-HT) receptors. However, there is no evidence to suggest that ashwagandha increases the risk of serotonin-related effects, and there have been no published case reports of serotonin syndrome when combined with other serotonergic drugs. Nevertheless, due to the lack of extensive studies on the matter and the fact that ashwagandha appears to affect serotonergic pathways, it would be prudent to exercise caution when combining it with drugs that affect serotonin. Androgens
Androsterone, as an androgenic hormone, may interact with other androgenic drugs, such as testosterone, due to their similar mechanisms of action. Both androsterone and testosterone bind to androgen receptors in various tissues throughout the body, leading to similar physiological effects related to the development and maintenance of male secondary sexual characteristics. When taken together, these compounds can potentially amplify these effects, leading to an increased risk of androgenic side effects, such as acne, hair loss, and changes in libido. Additionally, combining androsterone with testosterone or other androgenic drugs may also affect hormone levels and balance in the body, potentially leading to hormonal imbalances or disruptions in the endocrine system.
