5-htp + Clobazam
Clobazam brand names: Frisium, Onfi, Sympazan.
5-htp has a moderate interaction with Clobazam. Theoretically, concomitant use of 5-HTP with medications that cause sedation might have additive effects.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CNS DEPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Clobazam
Clobazam falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group 5-htp interacts with.
In clinical trials, 5-HTP has been associated with drowsiness and somnolence.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Clobazam already calms the brain and can make you sleepy, and 5-HTP has also been linked to drowsiness in studies. Put them together and the tiredness may stack up. You might feel more groggy, slowed down, dizzy, or have trouble focusing than you would with Clobazam alone. This isn't about one drug blocking the other in your liver, it's just two things that can both make you drowsy nudging in the same direction.
I'll be honest that this concern is mostly theoretical, based on how each one acts rather than strong proof. Still, since you're taking Clobazam for seizures, please don't add 5-HTP on your own. Check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and go easy on driving until you know how you feel.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clobazam page
“Clobazam (Onfi, Sympazan, Frisium) is a benzodiazepine for seizures, so extra sedation is a real safety hazard rather than a nuisance, and that is what most of this list adds. The great majority of these supplements and herbs deepen drowsiness, alcohol in any form among the most serious pairings.”

About 5-htp
What is 5-htp?
- Low mood or depression
- Anxiety and stress
- Sleep problems
- Migraine headaches
- Fibromyalgia
- Appetite or weight management
5-HTP is a compound your body uses to make serotonin, and people take it as a supplement hoping to improve mood, sleep, and headaches. Some early research is promising, but the overall evidence is limited and not conclusive. Because it can affect serotonin and may interact with medicines, talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it.

Clobazam Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Clobazam as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with 5-htp — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
