Here's the basic idea with daclizumab and andrographis. Daclizumab is a medication that calms down your immune system to help control relapsing MS. Andrographis seems to do the opposite in lab studies, where its main compounds (andrographolides) appear to stimulate immune activity. So in theory, taking the herb could work against what your MS medication is trying to accomplish and potentially make it less effective.

I want to be honest with you, though: this concern comes only from test-tube and animal research, not from studies in real people, so we don't truly know if it matters in practice. It's worth a quick conversation with your neurologist or pharmacist before adding andrographis, rather than something to panic over.
