Apple Cider Vinegar + Furosemide
Furosemide brand name: Lasix.
Apple Cider Vinegar has a moderate interaction with Furosemide. Theoretically, concomitant use of apple cider vinegar with diuretic drugs might increase the risk of hypokalemia.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
DIURETIC DRUGS
Why this applies to Furosemide
Furosemide falls under DIURETIC DRUGS — the group Apple Cider Vinegar interacts with.
A case of hypokalemia related to chronic use of apple cider vinegar has been reported. There is some concern that people taking apple cider vinegar along with potassium depleting diuretics might have an increased risk for hypokalemia.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with furosemide (Lasix) and apple cider vinegar. Furosemide is a strong water pill, and one of its known effects is flushing potassium out in your urine. That can leave potassium levels low (a condition called hypokalemia). Apple cider vinegar, when used heavily over time, has also been tied to low potassium in at least one reported case. So the worry is simple: stacking the two could push your potassium down a little further.
I want to be honest about how solid this is, though. It's mostly theoretical and based on a single case report, so it's not a strong, proven interaction. A splash of ACV in a salad dressing is unlikely to matter. Daily concentrated doses are the bigger question. Low potassium can show up as muscle cramps, weakness, or an irregular heartbeat, so if you take furosemide regularly, just check with your pharmacist or doctor before using ACV as a supplement.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Furosemide page
“Yellow dock is where I would start with furosemide (Lasix). This water pill already flushes potassium, and heavy yellow dock use can compound that loss, one of nine major-rated interactions on a list of 227 that deserves genuine care.”

About Apple Cider Vinegar
What is Apple Cider Vinegar?
- Blood sugar support
- Weight management
- Digestive upset
- Appetite control
- Skin and hair care
Apple cider vinegar is a fermented apple product that many people use hoping to help with blood sugar, weight, or digestion. The evidence for most of these uses is limited and mixed, and the modest effects seen in small studies are not a substitute for proven treatments. When diluted and used in small amounts it is generally safe for most people, but undiluted vinegar can harm teeth and the throat.
About Furosemide
What Is Furosemide Used For?
Brand name: Lasix
Furosemide tablets and oral solution are used in adults and children to treat edema (fluid buildup) caused by congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney disease, including nephrotic syndrome. In adults, oral furosemide is also used to treat high blood pressure, alone or alongside other blood pressure medications.
Furosemide injection is reserved for patients who cannot take oral medicine or for emergency situations such as acute pulmonary edema (sudden dangerous fluid in the lungs). Furoscix (subcutaneous injection) is specifically indicated for edema in adults with chronic heart failure or chronic kidney disease, including nephrotic syndrome, and in pediatric patients weighing at least 43 kg. Lasix Onyu (subcutaneous injection) is indicated for edema in adults with chronic heart failure only.

Furosemide Is Linked to Lower Levels of 9 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Furosemide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Apple Cider Vinegar — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
