Alogliptin, Pioglitazone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Ayahuasca interacts with.

Theoretically, ayahuasca might increase plasma concentrations of CYP3A4 substrates.
Ayahuasca contains beta-carboline alkaloids. In vitro research suggests that beta-carboline alkaloids competitively inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for your Oseni (alogliptin and pioglitazone). The pioglitazone part is partly processed by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Compounds in ayahuasca (the beta-carboline alkaloids) can block that enzyme in lab tests, so in theory your body might clear pioglitazone a little slower and let levels creep up. That could mean stronger effects like fluid retention, swelling in the legs, weight gain, or in some cases low blood sugar if you're also on other diabetes meds.

I want to be honest, though: this is only seen in test-tube studies, never confirmed in people, so it's more theoretical than proven. Ayahuasca carries its own serious risks too. Please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before mixing the two.
