Aspirin, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Ayahuasca interacts with.

Theoretically, ayahuasca might increase plasma concentrations of CYP2D6 substrates.
Ayahuasca contains beta-carboline alkaloids, including harmine and harmaline. In vitro research suggests that the beta-carboline alkaloids might inhibit CYP2D6 enzymes. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's something worth knowing about this combo. The hydrocodone in your Lortab ASA is what we call a prodrug, meaning your body has to convert it (using an enzyme called CYP2D6) into its stronger painkilling form, hydromorphone. The beta-carboline compounds in ayahuasca (harmine and harmaline) may block that same enzyme. So in theory, you could actually get less pain relief than expected, because less of the active form is being made.

I'll be honest with you though, this is based only on lab studies and hasn't been shown to happen in real people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The bigger concern with ayahuasca is its strong MAOI activity and serious safety risks. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing the two.

Here's the gist for your Lortab ASA / Alor (the hydrocodone plus aspirin combo). The hydrocodone part is handled in your body by an enzyme called CYP3A4. Lab studies hint that the beta-carboline compounds in ayahuasca might slow that enzyme down. If that happened in real life, hydrocodone could build up a bit, which may mean stronger effects like extra drowsiness, dizziness, slowed breathing, constipation, or nausea.

I want to be honest though: this is only seen in test-tube research, not in actual people, so it's theoretical. Still, ayahuasca carries its own serious risks, and mixing it with an opioid isn't something to take lightly. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
