Here's the gist with Premarin with Methyltestosterone. This medicine works by adding estrogen (plus a bit of male hormone) to your body. Baikal skullcap contains plant compounds (like baicalein) that, in laboratory dishes, seem to act a little like estrogen and may bump against the same receptors your hormone therapy is aiming for. The worry is that big supplement doses could compete with your treatment and possibly make it work less smoothly, which might show up as the symptoms you're treating (like hot flashes or mood changes) creeping back.

I want to be honest: this is only seen in test-tube studies, not in people, so it's theoretical and far from certain. Still, before adding concentrated skullcap, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor.

Theoretically, Baikal skullcap might increase levels of drugs transported by P-glycoprotein.
In vitro and animal research suggests that baicalein, oroxylin A, and wogonin, constituents of Baikal skullcap, can inhibit P-glycoprotein. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for your Premarin with Methyltestosterone combo: there's a cell pump called P-glycoprotein that helps move certain medicines around and out of your body. In lab and animal studies, compounds in Baikal skullcap (like baicalein and wogonin) appear to slow that pump down a bit. If that happened in people, slightly more of your hormone medication could hang around than expected.

In practice, this might mean a touch more of the usual estrogen and methyltestosterone effects, things like breast tenderness, bloating, mood shifts, or acne. But I want to be honest with you: this is only theoretical and has never been shown in humans, so it's rated minor. Still, before adding this herb, it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist.
