Alogliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Bay Leaf interacts with.

Concomitant use of bay leaf with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Preliminary clinical research shows that bay leaf can lower blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes who are already taking antidiabetes medication. Advise patients to monitor glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments may be necessary.

Here's the gist with Kazano (that's alogliptin plus metformin) and bay leaf. Both of these medicines already work to bring your blood sugar down. Some early research hints that bay leaf, taken as a concentrated supplement, may nudge blood sugar a little lower too. Stack those effects together and you could, in theory, drift into low blood sugar. That can feel like shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, dizziness, or sudden hunger.

I want to keep this in perspective. The evidence here is mostly theoretical, and the small amount of bay leaf you'd use in soup or a stew is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated capsules or essential oils are the real question mark. If you want to try those, check your sugars more closely and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.
