Here's the interesting part about this pairing. Dasiglucagon (Zegalogue) does the opposite of most diabetes medicines. It's a rescue injection that raises blood sugar fast when you're having a severe low. So while some animal studies suggest Calea zacatechichi might gently lower blood sugar, that effect would actually work against what dasiglucagon is trying to do, not pile on top of it.

In real life, this is very unlikely to matter. The evidence here is theoretical and based only on animal research, and dasiglucagon is an emergency one-time injection, not something taken daily. If you ever need Zegalogue, use it as directed without worrying about the herb. Still, it's worth mentioning your supplement use to your pharmacist or doctor so they have the full picture.

What Is Dasiglucagon Injection Used For?

Brand name: Zegalogue

Zegalogue is used to treat severe hypoglycemia — a dangerously low blood sugar episode — in adults and children aged 6 years and older who have diabetes. Severe hypoglycemia is a medical emergency that requires immediate action.

Zegalogue is not a day-to-day diabetes medicine. It is prescribed as an emergency kit to be on hand in case a person with diabetes becomes unresponsive or cannot safely swallow food or juice to raise their blood sugar.
