Here's the gist with the dream herb and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is already a strong opioid that slows down the brain and nervous system, which is how it eases severe pain. The concern is that Calea zacatechichi appears to have its own mild calming, sedating effect on the brain. Stack the two together and you could feel extra drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or more constipated than usual, and in theory your breathing could slow more than it should.

I'll be honest with you, this is a theoretical caution based on how the plant behaves, not on solid human studies, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, with a powerful opioid I'd rather you play it safe. Please run this combination by your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.
