Linagliptin, Metformin Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) INHIBITORS — the group Cannabidiol (cbd) interacts with.

Theoretically, CYP3A4 inhibitors might increase cannabidiol levels.
Cannabidiol is a substrate of CYP3A4 enzymes. Theoretically, drugs that inhibit CYP3A4 enzymes might increase levels of cannabidiol, increasing its effects and adverse effects.

Here's the thing to keep in mind: in this pairing, it's actually your diabetes medicine that can mildly affect the CBD, not the other way around. Linagliptin can slow down the CYP3A4 enzyme a little, and your body uses that same enzyme to clear CBD. So in theory, CBD levels could creep up a bit, which might mean more of CBD's usual effects like drowsiness, lightheadedness, diarrhea, or an upset stomach.

I'll be honest with you, this one is purely theoretical and based on how the drugs work on paper, not on real patient reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. The metformin part isn't really involved here. Still, since CBD products vary so much and diabetes care needs steady control, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding CBD.
