Chrysin + Sotagliflozin
Sotagliflozin brand name: Inpefa.
Chrysin has a minor interaction with Sotagliflozin. Theoretically, chrysin might increase the clearance of drugs that are UGT1A1 substrates, thereby reducing their effectiveness.

GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS
Why this applies to Sotagliflozin
Sotagliflozin falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS — the group Chrysin interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that chrysin might induce UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1).
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist for sotagliflozin (Inpefa). Your body partly clears this diabetes and heart medication through an enzyme called UGT1A1, which tags the drug so you can get rid of it. In test-tube studies, chrysin appears to speed that enzyme up. In theory, that could help your body remove sotagliflozin a little faster, which might make it work slightly less well (for example, weaker blood sugar control or fluid benefit).
I want to keep this in perspective. This concern comes only from lab research, not real people, and it's rated minor and unlikely. Chrysin is also poorly absorbed, so its real effect may be tiny. Still, if you're considering chrysin, check with your pharmacist or doctor first rather than starting or stopping anything on your own.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.
- LikelyWell-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.
- AHigh-quality meta-analysis (quantitative systematic review).
- BCase-control study.

The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Siberian Cocklebur (major), Acai (moderate), African Wild Potato (moderate) and Agaricus Mushroom (moderate).
By severity: 2 major · 223 moderate · 40 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Sotagliflozin page
“If you take sotagliflozin (Inpefa) for heart failure or diabetes, read this list carefully before adding any supplement, and start with the two rated major. Siberian cocklebur has caused severe low blood sugar in humans, and activated charcoal can pull the drug out of your system before it does its job.”

About Chrysin
What is Chrysin?
- Bodybuilding and testosterone support
- Anxiety and stress
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant support
- Prostate health
Chrysin is a plant flavonoid sold mainly as a bodybuilding supplement claimed to raise testosterone or block estrogen, but human studies have not shown these benefits, largely because the body absorbs very little of it. Evidence for its other proposed uses is mostly limited to laboratory and animal research, so its real-world value is unclear. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
