Buproprion, Dextromethorphan falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Cinchona interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cinchona might inhibit cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) and increase levels of drugs metabolized by this enzyme.
Quinidine, a constituent of cinchona, inhibits CYP2D6-mediated metabolism in humans.

Here's something interesting about Auvelity (the dextromethorphan and bupropion combo used for depression). Bupropion's whole job in this pill is actually to block the CYP2D6 enzyme so your body can't clear out the dextromethorphan too fast, which keeps the dextromethorphan working. Cinchona bark contains quinidine, which is also a strong CYP2D6 blocker. Stacking another blocker on top could let dextromethorphan levels climb higher than intended.

What that might feel like is more dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, or in rarer cases agitation or confusion. This is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not something proven in studies. Still, cinchona is risky on its own, so please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
