Levobupivacaine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical research show that berberine moderately inhibits CYP3A4. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP3A4.

Levobupivacaine (Chirocaine) is a local anesthetic, the kind of numbing medicine a doctor injects during surgery or for pain control. Your liver clears part of it using an enzyme called CYP3A4. Corydalis contains berberine, which lab and early human research suggests can mildly slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let a bit more levobupivacaine linger in your body.

Keep in mind this concern is theoretical and not proven in real patients. Since this drug is given and monitored by your medical team, the practical risk for most people is low. Still, if you take Corydalis, tell your anesthesiologist, pharmacist, or doctor beforehand so they have the full picture. Please never adjust anything on your own.
