Here's the gist with Chlorpropamide and damiana. Chlorpropamide already pushes your blood sugar down by prompting your pancreas to release more insulin. In animal studies, damiana also seemed to lower blood sugar on its own. So the worry is simple addition: stacking the two could pull your sugar down a little further than expected, raising the chance of hypoglycemia (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or feeling faint).

I want to be honest about the strength here. This is theoretical, based on animal data and pharmacology, not solid human studies. A cup of damiana tea is unlikely to cause trouble for most people, but concentrated supplement doses are less predictable. Chlorpropamide is long-acting, so a low can linger. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your dose on your own.
