Here's the gist: Humalog (insulin lispro) is a fast-acting insulin that brings your blood sugar down at mealtime. Damiana, at least in animal studies, may also nudge blood sugar a little lower on its own. So in theory, pairing the two could stack their effects and push you into hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

I want to be honest with you though: this concern is theoretical and based on animal research, not solid human studies. The occasional cup of damiana tea is unlikely to cause trouble for most folks. Still, if you decide to use a concentrated damiana supplement regularly, keep a closer eye on your readings and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first. Please don't change your insulin dose on your own.
