Here's the gist with Trulicity (dulaglutide) and damiana. Dulaglutide is already a blood-sugar lowering medicine, and some animal studies hint that damiana may nudge blood sugar down too. Put them together and, at least in theory, you could end up a little lower than expected. This isn't about damiana changing how your body breaks the drug down; it's simply two things pulling sugar in the same direction.

I want to be honest that this is theoretical, based on pharmacology and animal data, not solid human studies. Tea-sized amounts likely matter very little. Still, if you take damiana regularly, keep an eye out for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or confusion, and check your levels. Chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
