Glucovance combines two diabetes medicines: glyburide, which prompts your body to release more insulin, and metformin, which helps your body use insulin better. Both work to bring blood sugar down. Here's the thing with damiana: in animal studies, it appeared to lower blood sugar on its own. So in theory, pairing it with Glucovance could push your numbers a little too low.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. This is a theoretical concern based mostly on animal research, not strong human studies. Glyburide is the part most likely to cause true lows. If you do try damiana, just keep a closer eye on your readings and watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before starting it.
