Dr. Brian Staiger explains PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist

Here's the thing to know about Butibel: the belladonna extract in it is already an anticholinergic, the same family of compounds (atropine, scopolamine, hyoscyamine) found in Datura wrightii. So if you combine the two, you're essentially stacking two anticholinergic sources on top of each other, and the effects add up.

What that can look like is a dry mouth, blurry vision, a racing heart, constipation, trouble urinating, and in stronger doses confusion or even hallucinations. The butabarbital part adds sedation on top. This concern is based on how these drugs work rather than hard studies, but it's a real and predictable risk. Honestly, I'd steer well clear of Datura wrightii altogether since it's genuinely poisonous. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with Butibel.
