Citanest Forte (prilocaine with epinephrine) is a local anesthetic your dentist or doctor injects to numb a small area. The worry with Datura wrightii isn't about how this numbing medicine is broken down. Instead, the concern is that both substances can slow your breathing, and combining them might add up to dangerous, even fatal, respiratory depression. I'll be honest with you: this is based on anecdotal reports, not strong studies, so it's a theoretical caution rather than something proven.

That said, Datura wrightii is genuinely poisonous, and I'd urge you not to use it at all. On top of slowed breathing, its anticholinergic effects (racing heart, confusion, hallucinations) could stack with the jittery heart effects of the epinephrine. Please tell your provider before any procedure.
