Your combination product (Marax) includes hydroxyzine, an antihistamine that has some anticholinergic activity, meaning it works partly by quieting the brain chemical acetylcholine. Deanol (DMAE) is thought to push acetylcholine levels in the other direction, so in theory it could nudge against hydroxyzine's effect. If that happened, you might notice a little less of the drying, calming, or sedating action you usually get.

Honestly, this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not something proven in people, and it's rated minor and unlikely. The ephedrine and theophylline parts aren't really involved here. Still, since you're taking a multi-ingredient prescription, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding deanol.
