Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Chlorpheniramine
Chlorpheniramine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Dhea interacts with.
Some preliminary evidence shows that DHEA may inhibit CYP3A4; however, the clinical significance of this potential interaction is not known.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with this pairing. Chlorpheniramine is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, and there is some early, weak evidence that DHEA might slow that enzyme down. If that happened, your body could clear chlorpheniramine a little slower, letting it build up. That could mean more of the usual antihistamine side effects, like drowsiness, dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, or feeling foggy.
I want to be honest though: this is mostly theoretical and based on scattered, low-quality reports, so the real-world impact is uncertain and may be small for many people. Still, if you notice extra sleepiness or grogginess while taking both, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Chlorpheniramine page
“An over-the-counter allergy pill sounds harmless, but chlorpheniramine (Chlor-Trimeton) has one of the longer supplement interaction lists I review, and it calls for real vigilance, with the major-rated entries the ones to understand first. Most of the list can shift how the body clears the drug: grapefruit can raise its levels while St.”

DHEA is a natural hormone that the body makes and that declines with age, and it is sold as a supplement claiming many benefits. The evidence is mixed and limited for most uses, and because it acts as a hormone it can cause real side effects. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you have a hormone-sensitive condition.
