Tadalafil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Dhea interacts with.

Theoretically, DHEA might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Some preliminary evidence shows that DHEA may inhibit CYP3A4; however, the clinical significance of this potential interaction is not known.

Here's the gist of it: your body clears tadalafil mainly through a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. There's some early, anecdotal evidence that DHEA may slow that enzyme down a bit. If that happens, tadalafil could clear out a little slower and build up in your system, which can mean stronger drug effects.

For tadalafil, that usually shows up as things like headache, flushing, a stuffy nose, indigestion, back or muscle aches, or a bigger drop in blood pressure (feeling dizzy or lightheaded). To be clear, this interaction is only theoretical and not well proven, so I don't want you to panic. Still, since DHEA is a real hormone with its own effects, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing the two.

About Tadalafil

What Is Tadalafil Used For?

Brand names: Cialis, Tadliq

Tadalafil tablets (including Cialis and generic tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH — an enlarged prostate), or both conditions together. When used with the drug finasteride to start BPH treatment, this combination is recommended for up to 26 weeks.

Adcirca, Alyq (tablets), and Tadliq (oral suspension) are indicated specifically for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH — high blood pressure in the lungs), to improve the ability to exercise.
