Your combo pill pairs aspirin with codeine. The piece that matters here is the aspirin, which already thins your blood a bit by keeping platelets from clumping together. Evodia contains a compound called rutaecarpine that, in test tube and animal studies, seems to do something similar. Stacking the two could theoretically nudge up your chances of easy bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding that takes longer to stop.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it comes only from lab and animal research, not from people, so the real-world risk is uncertain and likely small. Still, since aspirin already affects bleeding, it is worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding an evodia supplement, especially around any surgery or dental work.
