Goldthread + Dasatinib
Dasatinib brand names: Sprycel, Phyrago.
Goldthread has a moderate interaction with Dasatinib. There's very preliminary evidence that berberine, a constituent of goldthread, might inhibit cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) enzyme.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Dasatinib
Dasatinib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Goldthread interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for Sprycel (dasatinib): your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear it out. Berberine, the active compound in goldthread, may gently block that enzyme. If it does, your dasatinib could clear more slowly and build up to higher levels than intended.
Dasatinib is an active drug (not a prodrug), so higher levels generally mean stronger effects and a greater chance of side effects like fluid retention, low blood counts, bleeding or bruising, headache, or shortness of breath. The good news is that this interaction is theoretical right now, based on lab work and not yet seen in real patients. Still, because dasatinib is a serious cancer medicine with a narrow safety margin, please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding goldthread.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dasatinib page
“Grapefruit is the first thing I would take off the table for anyone on dasatinib (Sprycel, Phyrago), a targeted leukemia therapy where a steady blood level is the whole point of treatment. It blocks CYP3A4, the enzyme that clears dasatinib, letting levels climb, and 121 of the 146 supplements on file act on that same pathway.”
