Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Hydrochlorothiazide, Labetalol
Hydrochlorothiazide, Labetalol falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Hibiscus Sabdariffa interacts with.
Most clinical evidence suggests that taking Hibiscus sabdariffa reduces systolic and diastolic blood pressure. In animal research, Hibiscus sabdariffa increased the hypotensive effects of single doses of losartan and amlodipine.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Your combination pill pairs hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) with labetalol (a beta-blocker), and both already work to bring your blood pressure down. Hibiscus tends to nudge blood pressure lower too, so the concern here is simply that the two could add up and push you a little too low.
If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or woozy when you stand up too fast. The good news: this is a theoretical caution based mostly on how hibiscus behaves, not strong human studies, and a regular cup of hibiscus tea is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated supplements are more worth watching. If you want to use it regularly, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings.

- Fever and general wellness
Hibiscus sabdariffa is a tart, cranberry-flavored plant most often consumed as a tea, and its best-studied use is for mildly lowering blood pressure.
