Humalog (insulin lispro) is a fast-acting insulin you take to bring down your blood sugar around meals. Hibiscus, especially as a concentrated supplement, may gently lower blood sugar on its own. So the concern here is simple math: if both are working in the same direction, your sugar could dip lower than you expect, raising the chance of a hypoglycemic episode (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, fast heartbeat).

To be fair, this is a theoretical caution based on how hibiscus behaves, not proof of a dangerous interaction. An occasional cup of hibiscus tea is unlikely to cause trouble. Still, if you plan to use hibiscus regularly or as a supplement, check your glucose more closely and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
