Ozanimod Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C8 (CYP2C8) SUBSTRATES — the group Hibiscus Sabdariffa interacts with.

Theoretically, Hibiscus sabdariffa might reduce the metabolism of CYP2C8 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Hibiscus sabdariffa calyx extract inhibits CYP2C8. This interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: in lab dishes, hibiscus extract slowed down an enzyme called CYP2C8, which is one of the pathways your body uses to help process ozanimod (Zeposia). In theory, if that enzyme is blocked, a bit more of the drug could hang around in your system. With ozanimod, more drug could mean a stronger chance of side effects like a slower heart rate, headache, higher blood pressure, or changes in liver tests.

That said, I don't want to overstate this. This was only seen in test-tube research and has never actually been reported in real people, so the risk is mostly theoretical. A cup of tart hibiscus tea now and then is very unlikely to matter. Still, before using concentrated hibiscus supplements alongside Zeposia, run it by your pharmacist or doctor.
