Naproxen, Sumatriptan falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Iboga interacts with.

Theoretically, taking iboga with serotonergic drugs might increase levels of serotonin, resulting in additive effects with serotonergic drugs.
Ibogaine, a constituent in iboga, has serotonergic effects. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with iboga might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome and cerebral vasoconstrictive disorders. Monitor patients for signs of serotonin syndrome and other serotonergic side effects if using iboga with serotonergic drugs.

Treximet combines sumatriptan, a migraine medicine that nudges serotonin activity in the brain, with naproxen, an anti-inflammatory pain reliever. The sumatriptan half is what matters here. Iboga (through ibogaine) also pushes on the serotonin system, so taking the two together could stack those effects.

This is a theoretical concern based on how both work, not on real-world reports, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, the worry is serotonin syndrome, which can show up as agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shaking, or muscle twitching. Iboga also carries its own serious heart rhythm risks. Honestly, iboga isn't something I'd recommend at all, but please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with Treximet.

Here's the concern with combining Iboga and Treximet (the combination pill of naproxen and sumatriptan). Iboga's active compound, ibogaine, has been linked in case reports to a heart rhythm change called QT prolongation, which can lead to a dangerous, irregular heartbeat. Sumatriptan, the migraine-relieving part of Treximet, can also nudge your heart rhythm in certain people. Stacking the two could theoretically add up.

To be honest, this connection rests on scattered case reports, not strong studies, so the real-world risk isn't fully clear. But ibogaine itself carries serious heart dangers and isn't legal here. I'd steer clear and talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything new with your migraine medicine.
