Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Clozapine
Clozapine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Ipriflavone interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for clozapine. Your liver leans heavily on an enzyme called CYP1A2 to clear this medicine out of your body. Ipriflavone is thought to slow that enzyme down, so in theory clozapine could build up to higher levels than usual. Clozapine is not a prodrug, so more drug in your blood means stronger effects and more side effects, things like heavy sedation, dizziness, drooling, a racing heart, low blood pressure, or constipation.
Now, the honest part: this is only a theoretical concern based on lab data, not real patient reports, so it may never cause trouble for you. But because clozapine is a closely monitored, sensitive drug, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining the two.

“Clozapine (Clozaril, Versacloz) is usually the last-resort antipsychotic for schizophrenia, prescribed under close monitoring because small shifts in its blood level matter, so the 212 supplement interactions on file here deserve genuine care rather than a quick skim. Six are rated major.”

About Ipriflavone
What is Ipriflavone?
- Bone density and osteoporosis
- Postmenopausal bone loss
- Athletic performance
- Tinnitus related to bone disorders
Ipriflavone is a synthetic isoflavone studied mainly for bone health and osteoporosis, but high-quality research has not shown that it reliably prevents fractures or builds strong bone. Because it can lower white blood cell counts in some people and its long-term safety is not well established, talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
About Clozapine
What Is Clozapine Used For?
Brand names: Clozaril, Versacloz
Clozapine is used for two specific situations. First, it is prescribed for people with severe schizophrenia who have already tried other antipsychotic medications and have not gotten adequate relief. It is reserved for this group because of its serious risks.
Second, clozapine is used to lower the chances of repeated suicidal behavior in people with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder who are considered to be at ongoing, chronic risk. It is not a first-choice medication — it is used when the need is serious and other options have fallen short.

Clozapine Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Clozapine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Ipriflavone — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
